SiteGleam builds and hosts websites for small businesses. This page explains what information we handle and why, in plain language.
Information about businesses
To build a preview we use information a business has already made public: its website, its listing in public directories and maps, its posted hours, phone number, address, and public customer reviews. We use this to write the preview and to contact the business once about it. We don’t buy lists and we don’t sell this information.
If we email you about a preview, every message includes a working unsubscribe link and our mailing address. Unsubscribing removes you permanently and takes the preview down. If you ask us for a preview through this site, we use your email only to send it and to answer your replies.
Photos and content
Previews use licensed stock photography, not photos taken from a business’s own website. If a business becomes a customer and sends us its own photos or logo, we use them only on that business’s site.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers. We keep the records needed to run your subscription and for tax purposes.
Website visitors
Sites we host may keep basic server logs (pages requested, approximate region, browser type) to keep them running and to give owners a monthly visit count. We don’t use advertising trackers on this site or on the sites we host. Contact-form submissions on a hosted site are delivered to that business’s inbox and stored only long enough to deliver them.
Your choices
- To stop hearing from us: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- To have a preview removed: use the “Remove this preview” link on the preview, or reply to our email.
- To get a copy of, correct, or delete information about your business: reply to any email from us.
