Questions people ask
Who owns the website?
You do. It’s your business, your name, your content. If you ever leave, we hand you the files — plain HTML and images you can host anywhere.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes, and it’s the plan, not an extra. After checkout we email the two records to add and the steps for your DNS provider; our system confirms when it’s live. Until then it’s at yourbusiness.sitegleam.com.
What if I want something changed?
Reply to any email from us, or use the “Request changes” button on your preview. Text, photos, colors, hours, a new page — two changes a month are included, and we’ll do up to six in a month at no charge. From the seventh, you choose: $25 to have it done straight away, or it goes in automatically on the 1st of the next month (five can be waiting for the 1st at once). Corrections to your hours, phone number or address never count against any of that. Everything is applied automatically, and the reply tells you when yours goes in: most go straight through, and the ones that wait (a request from an address we don’t have on file, or a change past the month’s free ones) say so and say what they’re waiting for.
How is this free to start?
We build the site first and only charge if you decide to keep it. If you don’t, the preview quietly disappears and you owe nothing.
Do you use AI to build these?
Yes. The site, the emails and the changes are all handled by our automated system, checked automatically for broken links, typos and layout problems. There’s no phone line; everything runs by email, and anything the system can’t do, it says so.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel any time by replying to any email from us, or from the billing portal — reply and we send you a link to it. Your site stays up until the end of the month you paid for, then comes down, and your site files are emailed to you automatically. You can also ask for them at any point.
